Glencoe were in a cleft stick, being dependent on a bespoke booking system being supported by one individual, but with a very manual process for issuing tickets and showing them in order to get on the lift at the bottom of the mountain. The situation was not helped by unreliable comms due to being located halfway up a mountain.

The real issue was how to get tickets to visitors from Edinburgh and Glasgow without creating long queues for ski rental and lift access.
