With an ageing bespoke website and booking system, RIAT had been dependent on a diminishing team of developers to keep their legacy systems going.

With any small change requiring specialist development resources, RIAT were in need of modern Content Management Tools to allow them to manage the ever growing rota of Aircraft and Display Teams at their world renowned tattoo and a flexible online booking tool capable of managing multiple capacities and seating plans.

With the vast majority of booking for this annually sold out event taking place online, in advance, with huge scope for upsells, it was essential that the online booking process and website operated as a seamless experience to over 150,000 annual visitors during the event weekend.

The Umbraco CMS platform was chosen for this project, and with a modern, “mobile first” design, a customised booking process was built onto the Vivenu’s ticketing platform allowing the entire end-to-end process of registration, booking and ticket delivery to take place on a slick and flexible platform designed to encourage upsells to the wide range of hospitality offerings.
